9 Sept 2021 – University Council approved the Freedom of Speech and Academic Freedom Policy under resolution CNL 21/32, for immediate effect. This replaced the Freedom of Speech Policy, and also the Academic Senate Statement on Academic Freedom (Academic Freedom Statement). The University launched a new policy management system in February 2021. This is the first version of this document to be published in the new system. This version is the version that was in effect at the time of the migration except that it has been reformatted, numbered, and any typographical errors have been corrected.
