Summary of Changes from Previous Version

25 March 2025 – the Academic Senate approved the expiry of the Assessing Recognition of Prior Learning Applications Procedure following the publication of the revised Recognition of Prior Learning Policy (AS25/18).


6 January 2025 – administrative amendment to replace references to the disestablished Academic Standards and Quality Committee (ASQC) with the Academic Senate Education Committee (ASEC).

28 August 2024 - references to Macquarie International removed.

14 February 2024 – erroneous sentence removed from Definitions Section.

16 January 2024 - fixed inaccurate references to Macquarie University College Sub-Committee of ASQC (disestablished in July 2023 and replaced with the Macquarie University College Faculty Board).

21 June 2022 – Typo fixed for heading between clauses 21 and 22 – “Course Directions” fixed to read “Course Directors.”27 January 2022: Division name changed from Macquarie University International College to Macquarie University College 


The University launched a new policy management system in February 2021. This is the first version of this document to be published in the new system. This version is the version that was in effect at the time of the migration except that it has been reformatted, numbered, and any typographical errors have been corrected.
